In November 2022, Sysco received it's first battery electric Freightliner eCascadia truck. "This zero-emission tractor is powerful, quiet and -- importantly – very comfortable to drive," said Marie Robinson, Sysco's EVP & Chief Supply Chain Officer. "It's not only good for the planet, but will also improve the driving experience for thousands of our delivery partners."
In Canada, we will closely follow the approach developed in the U.S. and will gain insights from the project to help us move in this direction in the future.
