Supporting Sysco Canada’s Colleague Resource Groups​

As we develop and socialize inclusion initiatives, we value the support of passionate colleagues across our operations,​ including those who participate in Sysco’s colleague resource groups (CRGs). These groups provide a safe space and a sense of belonging for many colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds and allies who want to learn from and support their peers.

Food for Thought ​

Food for Thought provides a global network of support to Sysco colleagues, with the goal of raising awareness for wellbeing and mental wellness in the workplace, reducing stigma, and providing resources for colleagues dealing with mental health challenges in their life or looking for ways to promote positive mental well-being.

Spectrum advocates for the 2SLGBTQ+ community along the entire spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identity diversity by inspiring a safe workplace culture for fellow humans to be visible as their authentic selves. Spectrum educates Sysco on issues facing the 2SLGBTQ+ community, celebrates the value of allies and their contributions to diversity and inclusion.

This helps us bring awareness to key topics, build momentum toward our DEI Roadmap, and ensure our actions align with our colleagues’ priorities and needs. For several years, our DEI leaders have brought colleagues into the conversation through forums such as Sysco’s Better Together Town Halls.

Sysco’s Global DEI Council is a working group of up to 25 colleagues from around the world with representation across dimensions of diversity such as race, gender, age, abilities, sexual orientation, geographic location, career level, and tenure. The Council has been instrumental in developing the three-year "Better Together" DEI roadmap and acts as a sounding board for DEI-related policies, practices, and procedures.
