About Sysco Victoria
As one of the leading food distributors in Victoria, Sysco sells, markets, and distributes food and non-food items to a variety of educational facilities, lodging establishments, healthcare facilities, and restaurants in the Victoria region. Our products are delivered to customers on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and the Sunshine Coast North via a fleet of multi-temperature-controlled tractor trailers.
Sysco has been operational in these communities for decades as an established food wholesaler in Victoria. We started as North Douglas Delicatessen in 1972. Just two years later, the Barbon family bought the business and turned it into a 140,000 sq ft distribution facility. The company was acquired by Sysco, and a new 213,000 sq ft state of the art distribution facility was built in 2009, strategically located in Langford. This gem of a facility is the fish processing plant where our team hand cuts fresh BC seafood for our customers. Our team has now grown to over 175 associates.

Our products can be found in a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes, bistros, hotels & lodging, hospitals, healthcare, sports arenas, education, government, office buildings, airlines, camps, cinemas, carnivals, amusement parks, concerts and food forward events.
We are more than just a food supplier. We are dedicated to the industry in which we service and nourishing the communities we live and operate in. We do this through; Foodies Unite. This three pillar program is a nationwide community support initiative, powered by Sysco. We are leveraging our network to support the continuity of food supply across Canada, help heal the Foodservice industry, help our customers, and help fight hunger through food relief partnerships to serve communities most in need. Since March 30th, 2020 Sysco Canada and it’s operating sites has donated over 5.2 million meals to Canadians in need.
